A sketch portrait of Charles Dallery, a French engineer (1754-1835) who invented in 1780 a steam engine with boiler tube, he first had the idea of applying the propeller to steam navigation and therefore took a patent in 1803. He undertook to build a boat on this principle, but ruined himself without being able to finish it. Buy this as a superb framed print, a canvas print or a poster.
